Seagrass

Seagrass is a type of grass that grows in abundance near the coastline in India. It grows naturally without the need for additional fertilizers or other pesticides. Seagrass is a quickly renewable resource and is harvested yearly. When the seagrass is mature, local farmers cut the grass by hand with simple tools. The seagrass fibers are then naturally dried in the sun. 

Our seagrass baskets come with a detachable plastic container, which is recyclable at the end-of-life. With s circular design principle ‘design for disassembly’ in mind, we aim to make functional and beautiful products with an end-of-life solution to close the material loop.
